Vegan and gluten-free flatbread wraps
Ingredients
- 250 g gluten-free all-purpose flour blend
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 120 ml warm water
- Additional oil for brushing
Directions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the gluten-free flour blend, salt, and baking powder.
- Add the olive oil and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gradually add the warm water while stirring the mixture until it forms a soft and pliable dough.
- Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and roll each one into a ball.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out each dough ball into a thin round, about 1/4 inch (0.5 cm) thick.
- Heat a large non-stick pan over medium heat. Brush one side of the rolled-out dough with a little oil.
- Place the dough in the pan, oiled side down, and cook until lightly browned, about 1-2 minutes on each side. Repeat with the remaining dough.
- Serve the warm flatbreads as wraps or use them as a base for toppings like hummus, avocado, and vegetables.
These vegan and gluten-free flatbread wraps are a delicious alternative to traditional wheat-based wraps, and they’re easy to make and customize to your liking. Enjoy!
